Senior Software Engineer Rust Bitcoin DeFi
## As a senior member of our engineering group, you’ll act as a mentor, problem solver, and technical leader—helping teams simplify complexity, adopt modern practices, and build innovative software at scale. Champion high-quality engineering practices and proactively tackle complex challenges. Debug and resolve system-wide issues while driving a culture of observability and monitoring. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable iterative and scalable development. Lead technical design, code reviews, and integration of software components. Act as a go-to expert across multiple codebases, languages, and platforms. Guide and mentor engineers, providing constructive feedback and technical direction. Be proactive and require minimal supervision or mentoring to complete tasks. Produce clear documentation to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing. Ensure reliability of deployed products, including availability for critical support when needed. ## Who you are: 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years of Rust in production. Blockchain and Web3 knowledge, particularly UTxO experience (Cardano or Bitcoin) Experience with multithreading, peer to peer networking and distributed systems. Proven expertise in Rust’s ownership model, borrowing, lifetimes, and concurrency. Strong knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming paradigms. Experience with web services, REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and distributed systems. Knowledge of Bitcoin core, Taproot Scripts and BitVM is a plus Experience with Multi-party computation and cryptographic libraries is a plus Practical experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development. Skilled in Git workflows, debugging, and designing scalable architectures. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
