K-5 Science Curriculum Writer
Job Description:
- Write and adapt standards-aligned Science curriculum for grades K-5.
- You’ll create engaging lesson plans, assessments, and student materials that foster inquiry, exploration, and scientific literacy.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, editors, and instructional designers
- Incorporate evidence-based best practices in Science instruction
- Revise materials based on client feedback
- Support development of professional learning materials for teachers
- Apply knowledge of current trends in Science education
- Integrate innovative strategies and tools to enhance learner engagement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, education, or related field
- Familiarity with AI tools and comfort learning new software platforms
- Strong familiarity with the US K-12 education system preferred
- Excellent writing skills required, education writing experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Commitment to educational equity
- Comfort with project management tools and deadlines
- Commitment to organizational mission and inclusion
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage, prioritize, and multitask
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and meet frequent deadlines
- Sense of humor and ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Experience (professional, internship, or volunteer) in teaching preferred
