Medical Receptionist / Medical Assistant Hybrid - Bilingual (Spanish Required) Location: Hempstead, NY Salary: $23-$25 per hour Schedule: Monday - Friday | Flexible between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (40 Hours Guaranteed)
About the Role
A busy outpatient clinic in Hempstead is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Medical Receptionist who is also experienced as a Medical Assistant. This is a full-time hybrid position for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who can manage front desk responsibilities while stepping into clinical support when needed. This role is ideal for someone comfortable in a fast-paced environment who understands both patient-facing administrative work and clinical operations.
Responsibilities
Front Desk Duties:
- Greet and check in patients professionally
- Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
- Verify insurance and collect co-pays
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records
- Enter and manage all patient data within eClinicalWorks (ECW)
Medical Assistant Duties (as needed):
- Welcome and prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Record vital signs and medical history
- Assist providers during exams, procedures, and follow-ups
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam rooms
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation in ECW
Requirements
- Previous Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting
- Fluent in Spanish (required)
- Strong proficiency in eClinicalWorks (ECW) - mandatory
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, professional, and adaptable
- Comfortable working flexible hours within clinic schedule
Candidates without ECW experience will not be considered. Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Flexible shifts between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- 40 hours per week guaranteed
- Must be open to early or late shifts as needed
