About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Lead QA Engineer specializing in Salesforce to join our team in Irving, TX. In this pivotal role, you will lead the quality engineering initiatives for Salesforce applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions. You will oversee the testing lifecycle, including automation, manual testing, and process optimization, to uphold the organization’s standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Salesforce platforms, extensive experience in automation tools, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive quality assurance strategies in a fast-paced environment, working closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of Salesforce-based solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance within a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in automation testing, black-box testing, white-box testing, and performance testing.
- Strong experience with Salesforce and SaaS/Cloud applications.
- Proficiency with DevOps/CI‑D processes.
- Hands-on experience with test execution and defect reporting tools such as Jira, TestRail, ALM, and Agile Accelerator.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including standard and custom features.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for test validation.
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools and web services testing (REST/SOAP).
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute comprehensive test activities for Salesforce applications including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and integrations.
- Analyze requirements, design documents, and use cases to develop, modify, and execute detailed test plans, scenarios, and cases.
- Define, build, and maintain automated regression test suites utilizing tools such as Provar, Selenium, and UFT.
- Adhere to best practices in testing and automation, continuously seeking improvements to quality and productivity.
- Manage defect reporting and test execution tracking through Jira, TestRail, ALM, and other tools.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test results, execution status, and quality metrics, communicating findings to IT leadership.
- Track key quality assurance metrics, including test pass rates, defect densities, and cycle times.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Anticipate cross-functional issues, analyze complex problems, and recommend innovative solutions.
- Lead multi-disciplinary test planning initiatives, especially those involving high risk, complexity, or impact.
- Develop end-to-end test scenarios across multiple services and applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Provide thought leadership in testing methodologies and process improvements to enhance overall quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, serving as a trusted quality expert.
- Conduct peer reviews of testing deliverables to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
- Assist in conceptualizing and designing the overall quality architecture for Salesforce solutions.
