Trident Consulting is seeking a "SQL Server Database Developer (ETL & Reporting)” for one of our clients in "Norfolk, VA - REMOTE”, A global leader in business and technology services. Job Title: SQL Server Database Developer (ETL & Reporting) Location: Norfolk, VA - REMOTE Type: Contract Rate: $60-65 Summary:
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable T SQL queries.
- Build, enhance, and maintain SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Implement error handling, logging, and performance tuning in ETL workflows.
- Schedule and monitor ETL jobs using SQL Server Agent.
- Develop interactive and paginated reports using SSRS.
- Manage report subscriptions, security, and deployment.
- Work with business users to gather reporting requirements.
- Performance Optimization
- Troubleshoot slow-running queries, ETL jobs, and reports.
- Perform indexing strategies, query tuning, and database optimization.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.
- Support data validation, reconciliation, and documentation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs.
- Provide production support for database, ETL, and reporting issues.
