Apptegy, Inc. in Little Rock, AR seeks Android Engineer. Duties: Enhance current mobile applications, while also helping to build new ones. Work with other developers of various experience levels. Participate in code reviews and write technical documentation. Deliver clean and stable code with tests. Be an advocate for tech and engineering inside the company. Write code in Kotlin using both Android Views and Jetpack Compose for new features, new products/platforms. Work in a SCRUM team with other Android Engineers as well as iOS, Backend, and Front End Engineers. Discuss the best architecture for a feature and dive deep into Design Patterns. Write documentation with the help of Product and Tech Ops. Use coding standards including best framework and language idioms. Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering leaders (CTO & VP). 100% Telecommuting is permitted from any location within the U.S. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related, or foreign equivalent and 4 years of experience in related occupations. Special Requirements: Position requires 4 years of experience in each of the following skills: 1) Developing Android mobile applications; 2) Building applications with Kotlin and Java; 3) Shipping Android apps to the Google Play Store; 4) Working on a software development team supporting or creating production-ready work; and 5) Making decisions, architecting, or delivering robust backend features. 100% Telecommuting is permitted from any location within the U.S. 40 hours/week.
