About The Role As a Data Analyst (Pyspark and SQL), you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering scalable, cloud-based analytics and data engineering solutions that support high-demand, enterprise applications. You will be an integral part of Cognizant’s Digital Engineering team, working closely with product managers, technical leads, designers, and client stakeholders to develop reliable, high-quality software that provides meaningful business insights. Your expertise will help in creating robust analytics models, implementing efficient data pipelines, and ensuring seamless deployment in cloud environments such as Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In this role, your responsibilities will include analyzing business requirements, designing effective analytics solutions, and leading technical discussions. You will build applications aligned with industry coding standards, write comprehensive unit tests, and ensure successful deployment and monitoring of features in production. Additionally, you will document design specifications and guide developers in preparing functional and technical documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency throughout the development lifecycle. This position offers a remote work model, providing flexibility to qualified applicants within the United States. Qualifications

• 6 to 7+ years of experience in Pyspark development
• Proficiency in SQL, with experience in BigQuery (BQ) preferred
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and Azure
• Hands-on experience with Airflow pipelines
• Knowledge of visualization tools like Power BI and Looker Studio
• Understanding of large-scale application design and high-volume data processing
• Experience in designing and implementing analytics solutions in cloud environments
• Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable analytics solutions and models deployed on cloud platforms (Azure/GCP)
• Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions, leading discussions with project stakeholders
• Build robust applications based on business needs, adhering to industry coding standards, and writing unit tests to ensure quality
• Ensure features are successfully tested, deployed, and monitored in production environments
• Implement monitoring solutions as recommended by clients to maintain system health and performance
• Document design specifications, service architecture, and technical workflows
• Guide developers in preparing functional and technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of data solutions
