Web Design Intern

About the Role
We're looking for a Junior Web Designer to join our design team as a summer intern. This is a hands-on role for a recent design grad or senior-year student who wants to contribute to real client work, learn from experienced designers and strategists, and build a portfolio that reflects how modern digital product teams actually operate. You'll support web design projects from early concepting through final handoff, pairing with senior designers to translate strategy into polished, accessible, responsive interfaces. This position is a remote role open to applicants in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Oregon, Arkansas, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, and Maryland. The rate for this position is $20/hour.
What You'll Do
Support the design team on projects across discovery, concepting, and production phases Build and maintain design files in Figma, including components, variants, and documentation that engineering can use confidently Contribute to visual explorations, moodboards, and style directions for client projects Adapt designs across breakpoints with attention to responsive behavior and accessibility Prepare design assets for handoff, including specs, redlines, and exportable files Take direction well, ask good questions, and document your work clearly Supports internal design efforts for 1682 (O3’s signature conference), the O3 World website, and company aspects as they come up
What We're Looking For
A junior designer with a background in Digital Media, Graphic Design, UX, or a similar background Proficiency in Figma, including a working understanding of components and auto layout Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop Familiarity with core web design principles: typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and responsive behavior Basic understanding of HTML and CSS, enough to design with the medium in mind
Nice to Have
Exposure to design systems or component libraries Familiarity with accessibility standards Motion or prototyping work (Figma, After Effects, Rive, Framer, or similar tools) Any experience writing or editing for the web Experience integrating AI into workflows as an accelerator for work, not a replacement What You'll Get Real project work on live client engagements, not just side projects Mentorship from senior designers and exposure to strategists, engineers, and AI practitioners A sample of work to showcase during future interviews or upcoming semesters A look inside how a modern product and AI consultancy operates day to day Apply To This Job
