As a Remote Data Entry Clerk / Typing Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards and your ability to move through varying programs
  • Typing in data provided directly from customers with precision and accuracy
  • Filling in spreadsheets with potentially large numbers of figures without mistakes, ensuring data integrity and consistency
  • Verifying data by comparing it to source documents, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Updating existing data in a timely and efficient manner
  • Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested by our team members

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk (although not required, it's a plus)
  • Fast typing skills with a minimum of 40 words per minute
  • A level of comfort with word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
