Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Entry Clerk / Typing Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
  • Typing in data provided directly from customers with precision and accuracy
  • Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, utilizing your expertise in MS Office Word and Excel
  • Verifying data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring the highest level of accuracy
  • Updating existing data and retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation and security
  • Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk, with a strong track record of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Fast typing skills, with knowledge of the touch typing system (strongly preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases and data management principles
  • Good command of English, both oral and written, and customer service skills
  • High school degree or equivalent

* 1+ year of experience in data entry or a related field

  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and other productivity software
