Experienced Customer Service Representative – Housing Customer Service Center

The Opportunity
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students and guests. You'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving issues, and ensuring full customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
* Provides customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external customers, meeting their needs, offering options, resolving problems, and following up with customers to ensure full satisfaction.
- Provides information regarding policies and procedures, terms, and programs relating to the service area for students, parents, faculty, administrators, staff, and outside customers.
- Identifies and prioritizes problems and issues related to the service area, performs research, offers solutions, options, and strategies, and refers to the appropriate person or department as needed.
- Uses information systems to input data, maintains databases, performs research for projects or issues, generates reports, and tracks problem status until resolution is achieved.
- Studies and maintains currency with all applicable policies and procedures, contracts, and related legal issues.
- Interprets terms and conditions of contracts, authorizes changes or exceptions to contract terms, generates contracts for forms for distribution, and processes applications, releases, cancellations, adjustments, changes, requests, fees, invoices, and other related paperwork.
- Represents the department to students, parents, faculty, administrators, staff, and other outside customers, and may act as a representative for the department at internal committee meetings or make formal presentations as assigned.
- Trains, schedules, assigns, and prioritizes workloads, interprets operating policies and procedures, ensures timely completion of departmental work, and may lead student workers.
- Notifies appropriate personnel in the event of an emergency, maintains complete and accurate records of all student- or staff-related safety incidents, and provides services including processing and delivery of mail and packages.
- Composes memos and letters based on knowledge of departmental and University policies and procedures, compiles statistical reports and studies as requested, and performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Essential Qualifications
* Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Combined education/experience as a substitute for minimum experience.
- Minimum Experience: 1 year of customer service experience. Combined education/experience as a substitute for minimum experience.
- Minimum Field of Expertise: Customer Service.
- Valid CA driver's license required. Position will participate in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System. A copy of DMV record will be required as a final condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Preferred Experience: 2 years of customer service experience.
- Preferred Field of Expertise: Student counseling or customer service.
