Job Summary

As a Part-Time Outlet Customer Service Associate, you'll be the face of arenaflex in our Westchester, FL outlet store. You'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You'll also be expected to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals, maintain a clean and safe store environment, and support the overall success of the outlet.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of arenaflex Outlet customer service standards

  • Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
  • Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by taking them to areas of the store and walking them through projects when necessary
  • Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers and communicate information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to arenaflex Outlet programs
  • Provide prompt support to all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance
  • Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental
  • Cross-functionally train in other areas of the Outlet to help deliver the best customer service
  • Generate leads for Project Specialist Exterior (PSE) programs by actively engaging customers in their project needs
  • In-stock: use store systems to prioritize loads, print pricing labels, and to look up items or item numbers for price and inventory information
  • Down stocks merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies
  • Prepare merchandise in department of responsibility based on customer requirements/specifications
  • Clean and Safe Stores: monitor merchandise entering and leaving the store entrances and exits and assist customers or associates who trigger the alarm
  • Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate them to management and/or Asset Protection
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, which may include conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates
  • Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one's regular job duties: top stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, use of aisle blockers, a tether line on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices
  • Operate store equipment as needed depending on one specific role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, iPhone, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, pallet jacks, electric lifts, compacter baler)
  • Provide exceptional customer service by applying SEEK – LEARN – BUILD to all customer interactions
  • Assist Pro customers to find product by walking the customer to the correct aisle and bay
  • Assist Pro customers with loading product in the aisle and then into their vehicles to provide a faster “in and out” shopping experience
  • Understand Pro Loyalty, Pro Credit, MSH, Volume Savings and Pro Delivery programs. Use the SMART phone and sales terminal to enroll customers into these beneficial programs
  • Use the point-of-sale terminals to process walk up, phone, email, and online orders. Call vendors to verify product availability and cost as needed
  • Complete freight and merchandising fulfillments, physically move stock as it is delivered, schedule shipments when necessary, and check the quality and accuracy of orders
  • Process returns to the Distribution Centers and appropriately dispose/return items
  • Coordinate and support deliveries from beginning to end, serving as the expert for answering questions and solving problems related to deliveries
  • Inspect merchandise prior to loading and delivery, prepare merchandise and loads for delivery, support planned delivery routes, verify invoices against items loaded, and assist with product connections or returns
  • Inspect and clean interior areas (e.g., bathrooms, breakrooms, hallways) as well as exterior areas (e.g., parking lots) (as needed)
  • Keep staff and customers safe by walking the store to check for leaks, spills, and unsafe displays, fix equipment and facilities, and perform preventative maintenance

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in a retail or similar environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a home improvement or retail environment

  • Knowledge of arenaflex products and services
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
