Job Responsibilities:
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex Urgent Care, you will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional patient service, ensuring that every individual's needs and concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner
- Greeting patients in a friendly and welcoming manner, collecting insurance cards and identification, and verifying patient information
- Entering patient admitting information into our electronic medical record (EMR) system and adding patients to our clinic schedule
- Receiving payment on account and performing necessary accounting duties in accordance with standard procedures
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, preparing forms, and resolving routine office problems
- Participating in department quality improvement activities, staff educational programs, and attending departmental meetings
- Demonstrating a commitment to excellence, teamwork, and customer satisfaction in all interactions
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in EMR, DocuTap, Excel Spreadsheet software, and MS Word Processing software
- Ability to lift, position, and/or transfer patients, as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a urgent care or emergency department setting
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds
- Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g. CCRP, CCM)
