Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk / Typist at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards and your ability to move through varying programs
  • Typing in data provided directly from customers
  • Filling in spreadsheets with potentially large numbers of figures without mistakes
  • Verifying data by comparing it to source documents
  • Updating existing data
  • Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

Proven experience as a data entry clerk (preferred but not required)

Fast typing skills

(at least 40 wpm)

A level of comfort with word processing tools and spreadsheets

(MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)

Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry or a related field (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Experience with data entry software and systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, etc.)

  • Certification in data entry or a related field (e.g., Certified Data Entry Specialist, etc.)
