Experienced Chat Moderator – Remote Community Management and Moderation Specialist

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Chat Moderator to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity and safety of our online community by enforcing community guidelines, addressing user concerns, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Responsibilities:

As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for:

• Monitoring and moderating online conversations to ensure compliance with community guidelines and rules
• Deleting messages that violate community standards, including hate speech, harassment, and spam
• Banning users who repeatedly violate community guidelines, with the goal of maintaining a safe and respectful environment
• Muting users who engage in behavior that disrupts the community, such as excessive profanity or spamming
• Investigating reports from users about potential rule violations, and taking action as necessary
• Collaborating with other moderators and arenaflex staff to resolve conflicts and address community concerns
• Providing excellent customer service and support to users, responding to questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Staying up-to-date with community guidelines and rules, and providing feedback to arenaflex staff on ways to improve the community experience

Qualifications:

To be successful as a Chat Moderator, you'll need:

• To be at least 18 years old
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
• Familiarity with online community management and moderation principles
• Experience with Discord or other online community platforms
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience as a moderator or community manager in a online community or social media platform

• Knowledge of community guidelines and rules, and experience enforcing them
• Familiarity with conflict resolution and mediation techniques
• Experience working with diverse groups of people, including individuals from different cultural, social, and economic backgrounds
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
