Job Summary
We're looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in updating and maintaining our company databases and computer systems. You'll work closely with our data team and Data Manager to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data, while also providing exceptional support to our clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:
- Verifying and logging receipt of data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Transcribing source data into the required electronic format, using a range of computer software and tools
- Transferring information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
- Performing high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software
- Verifying the integrity of data by comparing it to source documents and resolving any discrepancies
- Reviewing data for errors, missing pages, or missing information and resolving any issues
- Maintaining a filing system and protecting confidential customer information
- Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation and compliance with arenaflex's data management policies
- Responding to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system
- Using basic office equipment, such as photocopy machines and facsimile machines
- Maintaining a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards
- Completing additional assigned tasks as required
- Preparing, compiling, and sorting documents for data entry
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk
- Experience with MS Office and data programs, including spreadsheets and databases
- Familiarity with administrative duties, including filing and record-keeping
- Experience using office equipment, such as fax machines and scanners
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy, with the ability to maintain a high level of productivity
- Strong knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry
- Confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive customer information
- Organization skills, with the ability to stay focused on assigned tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
- Familiarity with cloud-based data management systems and tools
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools
- Experience with data quality control and data validation
- Certification in data entry or a related field
