The Manager State & Higher Education Role

As a Manager State & Higher Education, you'll join our Business Department and work closely with Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to execute strategic direction for State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Coaching and professionally developing Field Government Account Managers to achieve sales and revenue growth targets
  • Establishing formal partnerships with key stakeholders in the SLED managed travel industry
  • Broadening awareness of arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services to State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts
  • Identifying and hiring top talent to join our sales organization of trusted Advisors in the managed travel industry
  • Onboarding and training new hires to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles
  • Collaborating with fellow Leaders in this space to identify opportunities for growth and innovation

Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in establishing formal partnerships and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent coaching and professional development skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. (no current or future work authorization sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:

  • Experience working in the managed travel industry, with a deep understanding of the SLED market
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and develop strategic recommendations
  • Experience working with CRM software and other sales tools
  • Strong knowledge of arenaflex's products and services, with a passion for sharing them with others
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
