Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate – Remote Data Entry Position at arenaflex

arenaflex is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacy Customer Service Associate to join our remote team. As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records. This is a full-time, remote position that requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

As a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients and customers, both in-person and over the phone
  • Processing prescriptions, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information and prescription data
  • Registering sales on assigned sales register, collecting cash, and dispensing change as needed
  • Processing voids, returns, delays, discounts, and trades as necessary
  • Taking patients to the OTC walkway to assist with finding items
  • Keeping counters and retail areas clean and well-organized
  • Taking stock and maintaining records
  • Checking in and pricing stock as required or as directed by senior supervisor or shift leader
  • Performing tasks as assigned by Pharmacy Director, Staff Pharmacist, and Senior Supervisor, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and medication data, ensuring data is accurate, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring medication, confirming medication is correct, and checking for potential interactions
  • Reporting, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhering to company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program
  • Auditing and following the arenaflex Co. Pharmacy Governance guidelines
  • Rigorously adhering to the arenaflex Co. policy regarding Honest Intentions Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities
  • Handling calls that do not require individual attention of the pharmacist, including those to doctors
  • Processing (revising and resubmitting) manual cases for external program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performing other administrative tasks as assigned by the Pharmacy Director
  • Assisting and supporting Pharmacy Division on stock management activities, including ordering, unloading, checking, and storing shipments of medications
  • Maintaining knowledge of company resource security methods, and recording claims for distribution center overages (stock received, but not charged), deficiencies (stock charged, but not received), order errors or damaged products, including Rx medications
  • Ensuring compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled substances (e.g., cocktails and tobacco products)
  • Building and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, and special displays, and finishing resets and corrections as directed
  • Assisting with division of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as determined by strategies/methods (e.g., raw and frozen meats on base retail areas)
  • Having working knowledge of store systems and store equipment
  • Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital identification photo service, banner print, and creative machine, and selling of special photo items
  • Taking on web pick-up responsibilities (screens orders in Picture Care, handles orders (pick items), and conveys orders to customers as they arrive at store)
  • Assisting with outside and inside maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and well-organized store condition and appearance
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with colleagues
  • Completing special tasks and other assignments as directed

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree

  • 6 months of experience in a retail environment
  • Previous work experience with arenaflex is a plus
  • Excellent numerical skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of store stock control
  • PTCB certification is a plus
