As a key member of our Southwest Business Department, the Manager State & Higher Education will play a vital role in executing our strategic direction for State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts. Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager State & Higher Education to lead our efforts in strategic account management and business development. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for coaching and professionally developing our Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management. Your primary focus will be on increasing sales, establishing formal partnerships, and broadening awareness of arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services to State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth, establish formal partnerships, and increase awareness of arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services among State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts

  • Coach and professionally develop Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to achieve sales and revenue targets
  • Identify and recruit top talent to join our sales organization of trusted Advisors in the managed travel industry
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies, marketing campaigns, and product offerings that meet the needs of our SLED customers
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform business decisions and drive growth
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, procurement officers, and travel managers
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes that impact our business

Essential Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, with a focus on the managed travel industry

  • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth, establishing partnerships, and increasing awareness of corporate travel programs and services
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills, with experience in developing and managing high-performing sales teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed business decisions
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in the State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel industry

  • Familiarity with arenaflex's products and services, as well as our competitors in the managed travel industry
  • Certification in sales, marketing, or a related field (e.g. Certified Sales Professional, Certified Marketing Professional)
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with team members across different locations
