About the Role
As a Technical Specialist - Datacom, you will play a critical role in supporting arenaflex's Telecom Services team in delivering top-notch technical support and services to our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing field support and maintenance for video servers and programming, video or interactive hardware installations, and stock management
- Collaborating with internal teams, including Resort Designing Group, FAM, OSI, and WDI, to ensure seamless execution of projects
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Telecom services, including video and interactive systems
- Conducting thorough investigations with field specialists to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Managing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Collaborating with other DPEP groups and service providers to deliver efficient technical solutions
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support and maintenance for video servers and programming, video or interactive hardware installations, and stock management
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Telecom services, including video and interactive systems
- Conduct thorough investigations with field specialists to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Collaborate with other DPEP groups and service providers to deliver efficient technical solutions
Essential Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in the AV/Innovation Industry
- 3+ years of network exchanging and directing experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP Work environment, and Service NOW
- Strong understanding of different video and sound merchant applications (Sonify, QSC, Crestron, IOT, Synamedia, Genetec, SevOne, Forward Organizations, Splunk, Zabbix, Infoblox, etc.)
- Strong understanding and experience in commercial video distribution support, sustainment, and execution
- Demonstrated ability to manage accelerations and blackouts
- Strong knowledge of network security principles and industry best practices
- Knowledge of investigation and reporting tools like Scene, Power BI
- Shown strong hierarchical and time management abilities
- Ability to hit designated deadlines and manage competing needs
- Shown strong written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to learn new programming applications
- Ability to work on Saturday or Sunday as well as nighttime as required by client and business interest
- Self-motivated and inspired
- Demonstrated ability to manage accelerations and blackouts
- Moderate experience in network exchanging and steering
- Energy for, and knowledge of, interactive and video systems and solutions
- Demonstrated success working with a range of partners
Preferred Qualifications
* 3+ years in the AV or innovation Industry, experience with video distribution, encoding, sound mixes, and IOT devices
- 3+ years network exchanging and directing experience
Education
* Bachelor's Degree in software engineering, video technology, data systems, engineering, mathematics, data analysis, or other related logical or technical discipline
- Or, equivalent certifications or potentially comparable work experience
Preferred Education
* Different security and organization certifications
Licenses/Training
* Vendor-related certifications and training (QSC, Synamedia, Cisco, etc.)
