Junior ServiceNow Developer
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Junior ServiceNow Developer to assist in the design, development, and maintenance of mission-enabling applications supporting the U.S. Coast Guard. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities
As a Junior ServiceNow Developer, you will work within a team environment to deliver functional applications and automated workflows in accordance with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP). Core responsibilities include: Develop and configure applications within the ServiceNow platform, utilizing tools such as Flow Designer, App Engine Studio, and ServiceNow Studio to create solutions that meet mission objectives. Collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and translate them into functional ServiceNow features, forms, and service portal components. Support the SDLC by participating in methodologies such as Scrum, Agile, and DevSecOps to ensure consistent platform releases and Update Set deployments. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving platform issues, including UI Policies, Client Scripts, and Business Rules, as well as addressing functional defects. Maintain quality standards by applying ServiceNow best practices and "out-of-the-box" development standards to minimize technical debt. Adhere to security protocols by developing applications that conform to USCG system security requirements, ServiceNow Access Control Lists (ACLs), and federal guidelines. Support software lifecycle tasks, including technical documentation of ServiceNow configurations and assisting in the migration of legacy processes into the platform.
Qualifications
High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience) Required Skills & Experience Foundational experience with the ServiceNow platform. Basic understanding of the SDLC and familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies. Ability to follow technical documentation and security policies in accordance with federal standards. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on learning ServiceNow integrations and automated workflows. Effective communication skills for collaborating within a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance Preferred Skills & Experience Experience or interest in supporting U.S. Coast Guard or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) programs. Familiarity with ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework (ATF). Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and learning the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or similar platform training. Posted Salary Range USD $85,000.00 - USD $115,000.00 /Yr. Apply To This Job
