The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of small to mid-sized, customer-facing professional services projects. This role coordinates cross-functional technical and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Technical Project Manager proactively manages risks, tracks deliverables and dependencies, and communicates progress clearly to internal teams and customers, contributing directly to positive customer outcomes and predictable delivery execution.

Responsibilities

Manage small to mid-sized client-facing projects within defined scope, timeline, and budget. Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain alignment on project goals and deliverables. Track project schedules, dependencies, risks, and issues, escalating concerns appropriately. Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and status reports to support transparency and decision-making. Communicate project updates, risks, and milestones effectively to customers and internal stakeholders. Draft and refine process documentation, workflows, and recommendations for delivery improvement. Support risk and issue management activities to ensure smooth project execution. Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, delivery, and business teams to drive successful outcomes. Contribute to continuous improvement of project management standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in project management, consulting, or client-facing software implementation or professional services roles. Working knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and delivery tracking methodologies. Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, deliverables, and dependencies with limited supervision. Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with customers and internal teams. Experience identifying risks and issues and escalating appropriately to support successful project outcomes. Ability to work directly with customers, resource managers, and Engineers to ensure expectations are managed against contract responsibilities. Experience with managing projects governed by a statement of work as well as working with professional services back-end administration and reporting. Strong services-oriented administration background. Able to take a consultative approach and make sure scope and project boundaries are maintained. Proficiency with basic project reporting, data tracking, and documentation practices. Salesforce.com, Mavenlink/Kantata and Office apps - advanced skill level.
