Senior JS (React) Developer (Maritime Industry)
PROJECT OVERVIEW Our client is a global leader in maritime technology, backed by over 260 years of industry experience. Their mission is to transform maritime operations through a powerful digital platform that connects people, data, and workflows across every vessel and voyage—reducing risk, improving safety, and enabling sustainable growth worldwide. They are looking for a Senior JavaScript Developer with deep React expertise to help shape the frontend of their maritime platform. You will build complex, high-performance user interfaces, drive technical decisions on the frontend, and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative, cloud-first environment. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL Architect and develop scalable, performant React applications that deliver intuitive experiences for maritime professionals. Drive frontend technical decisions — establishing patterns, component libraries, and coding standards across the team. Integrate frontend applications with backend microservices via REST and GraphQL APIs deployed on Azure. Champion code quality through thorough code reviews, automated testing, and continuous improvement. Mentor mid and junior developers, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of technical excellence. Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive end-to-end features. IF YOU ARE 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, with at least 3 years focused on React. Strong command of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript. Experience building and consuming APIs within microservices architectures. Solid understanding of frontend performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design. Familiarity with Azure cloud services and deploying frontend applications to cloud environments. Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows including code review and branching strategies. NICE TO HAVE Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, React Query). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright). Knowledge of containerization with Docker. Background in the maritime, logistics, or SaaS platform space.
