About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and architectures that support our business and information science needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data science, engineering, and product management, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sr. Data Engineer at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing large-scale data pipelines and architectures to collect, process, and analyze data from various sources
- Developing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch processing
- Collaborating with data science teams to integrate data and models into automated processes
- Working with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) to design and implement scalable data architectures
- Developing strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and other relevant languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems
- Assembling data stores and data models to support information science and other internal clients
- Ensuring data quality and accessibility by incorporating data from various sources
- Investigating current data technology trends to identify and evaluate key capabilities and suggest solutions
- Exploring new tools and technologies to determine the best approach given the requirements of the model or use case
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, data science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience with SQL and Python programming languages
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Experience with healthcare industry data
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles
