Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional patient service in the name of our clients, ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely information about their medical bills
  • Establishing contact with patients via telephone to collect payment on medical bills, navigating complex billing scenarios with empathy and professionalism
  • Communicating clear, concise, and accurate information to patients, addressing their concerns and resolving disputes in a timely manner
  • Reviewing patient accounts and documents, analyzing patient interaction and feedback to identify areas for improvement
  • Negotiating reasonable payments with customers, setting up patient payments via check, electronic transfer, or credit card
  • Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures, adhering to industry standards and arenaflex's high standards of excellence
  • Collaborating with team leads, management, and clients to resolve disputes and ensure patient satisfaction
  • Meeting or exceeding established goals, consistently delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced virtual environment

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate
  • One to two years of college preferred
  • Prior customer service experience, with a strong focus on communication, empathy, and problem-solving
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Prior medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle experience
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures and regulations
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS)
  • Certification in medical billing or a related field (e.g., CPC, CMC, or CMRS)
