Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Clerk, you'll be responsible for:

  • Receiving requests for technical assistance from customers and submitting them into our ticketing system for review by Help Desk technicians
  • Reviewing each open ticket to determine the outcome and ensuring that customers receive updates and exceptional customer service
  • Emailing responses to customers to keep them informed about the status of their requests
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and requests
  • Collaborating with Help Desk technicians to resolve customer issues and provide timely support

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • No prior experience is required, but previous I.T. Help Desk ticket experience or online customer service experience for a technology company or busy online retailer is highly desirable
  • Excellent typing skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work on a computer for extended periods
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience with ticketing systems and customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles and practices
  • Certification in customer service or technical support
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
