Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the design and development of data items and data centers, focusing on commitment and maintenance examination and information science
- Plan and develop flexible data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in large data conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
- Our tech stack includes Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flash, and Windstream, and languages include Python, Scala
- Help engineer data solutions/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops
- Collaborate with Data Item Chiefs, Data Modelers, and Data Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions
- Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data administration
- Ensure high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligations to our clients (Information Science, Information Examination groups)
- Be an active member and advocate of agile/scrum practice to ensure safety and cycle enhancements for your team
Key Capabilities:
* Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
- Experienced insight with distributed systems like Flash, Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
- Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query)
- Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e. Windstream) and writing and maintaining data pipelines
- Strong in Data Modeling strategies and Data Warehousing standard systems and practices
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches
- You are a problem solver with strong empathy and excellent logical and relational skills
- Ideal to have experience with cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related field
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
- Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, and Scala
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or related field
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud-native applications and serverless computing
