A DAY IN THE LIFE of a Licensed Customer Service Representative

As a Licensed Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for promoting arenaflex products and services, providing exceptional customer service, and participating in office events to generate revenue and improve member awareness of products. Your day will be filled with:

  • Providing high-level support services: Servicing insurance policies, processing applications, renewals, and amendments, and selling travel, tours, airline tickets, and membership products.
  • Generating leads and promoting sales: Updating members on travel and insurance specials, providing travel information, and conducting outbound promotional calls for insurance and/or travel products.
  • Cashiering services: Taking insurance payments, travel, and membership payments, processing remittance/depository transfers, and balancing cash drawers.
  • Responding to customer inquiries: Referring to agents when necessary and providing a high level of administrative support to Travel and Insurance Agents during peak periods.
  • Conducting outbound promotional calls: Promoting insurance and/or travel products to members and potential customers.
  • Participating in team environment: Promoting customer satisfaction and consistent service following the customer service model.
  • Receiving and resolving member complaints: Seeking assistance from management in complaint resolution as necessary.
  • Participating in office events: Developed to generate revenue, improve member awareness of products, and support local community activities.

Essential Qualifications

* Active State Property & Casualty License: Required or ability to attain within 90 days of start date.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent: Required.
  • Work Experience: Providing a high level of customer-focused service, servicing insurance policies, processing applications, renewals, and amendments, and taking payments.
  • Computer software applications: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other software applications.
  • Travel Systems and/or Insurance Systems: Familiarity with travel and/or insurance systems, such as Focal Point, View point, ITT, AXIS, PPS, POS, IMS, IPM, and/or membership systems.

Preferred Qualifications

* Insurance and travel terminology: Familiarity with insurance and travel terminology, general insurance and/or travel regulations, underwriting procedures, sales regulatory and compliance guidelines.

  • Effective communication: Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with others in a work environment.
  • Mathematical calculations: Ability to perform mathematical calculations to accurately perform monetary transactions.
  • Team environment: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, exceeding member expectations relating to professionalism of demeanor, efficient and effective customer service (on phone or in person), and maintenance of workstation and office facility.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position, with employees servicing arenaflex members in-person and based on-site in an arenaflex branch facility. Regular and reliable attendance is essential for the function of this job.
