Job Summary

As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families. You'll work from the comfort of your own home, with the option to attend in-office orientation and training in our Denver/Aurora office. In this critical role, you'll:

  • Use empathy and fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand confusing and often unexpected medical bills
  • Provide outstanding customer service and collaborate with patients over the phone on affordable payment plans and take payments by phone
  • Utilize your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail to accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day
  • Support your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus
  • Continuously improve, with supportive coaching/feedback from your manager and team leads and ongoing training

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and resolving account balances

  • Collaborate with patients to develop affordable payment plans and take payments by phone
  • Accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems, maintaining attention to detail and organization
  • Support team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus
  • Participate in ongoing training and coaching to continuously improve skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in healthcare billing, customer service, or a related field

  • Certification in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:

* Competitive pay, ranging from $37,440 to $43,680 per year, based on prior experience
