Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming calls professionally, accurately, timely, and courteously
  • Determining the nature of calls and logging information in the Communication Log
  • Accessing member information using proprietary systems to assist callers
  • Forwarding inquiries requiring further research to the appropriate department
  • Transferring calls to specialized queues for complex issues (e.g., claims, authorizations)
  • Utilizing available resources to provide timely responses
  • Managing time effectively to ensure calls are answered promptly, and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner
  • Meeting or exceeding minimum key job accountabilities for the Customer Service Representative role
  • Documenting all calls appropriately
  • Attending weekly staff meetings to discuss issues and promote teamwork
  • Responding to requests from internal and external customers as needed

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience; inbound call center experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills

Compensation and Benefits

As a full-time employee, you'll receive:

Schedule and Location

As a remote employee, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere with a stable internet connection. Our standard business hours are Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. You'll be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
