Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support Associate, your key responsibilities will include:
- Retrieving patient medical records from various Hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits, adhering to regulatory requirements
- Extracting and entering necessary information from/to Hospital patient accounting systems, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality
- Making phone calls to Post Acute Healthcare Facilities to obtain information needed on patients, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Running and creating reports to support the Revenue Recovery Department's efforts, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities
- Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines
- Scanning and indexing of documents, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on healthcare or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in medical records, data entry, or a related field, with a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals
