Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Fleet Analytics team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining complex software systems that leverage our wealth of tool data. You'll work closely with stakeholders to design and implement data pipelines, develop software frameworks, and create data visualizations that inform product decisions.
Responsibilities
* Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain complex software systems that leverage tool data at arenaflex
- Provide guidance to arenaflex's data engineering and technology network on best practices
- Collaborate with engineers to implement and optimize software packages and equipment
- Write reproducible data analysis using modern open-source technologies
- Summarize and communicate data analysis assumptions and results to stakeholders
- Design and implement metrics, packages, and equipment to enable engineers to self-serve their data insights
- Write clean and tested code that can be maintained and extended by other software engineers
Requirements
* 7+ years of software development experience in an associated field
- Strong skills in Python, SQL
- Experience with data processing engines like Apache Spark
- Experience with data technology equipment including Pandas, Numpy, R, Matlab, Octave
- Experience building data pipelines, web applications, and devices learning models in a professional environment
- Strong foundation in statistics
- Experience building data visualizations
- Experience writing software in a professional environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills to assist in refining problem statements and determine how to solve them with the available data and from first principles
- Smart but humble, with a bias for action
Nice to Have
* Strong skills in Scala
- Understanding of distributed computing, i.e. how HDFS, Spark, and Presto work
- Experience with devops tools - e.g., Linux, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with complex hardware systems
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous development
