Key Responsibilities
As a Bilingual Customer Care Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality customer service by responding to telephone inquiries, requests, and problems in both French and English.
- Researching, analyzing, and providing solutions that meet the customer's needs.
- Resolving customer inquiries and problems on first contact, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Providing customers with account information, including account balances, transaction history, and other relevant details.
- Resolving or referring billing disputes, correcting payment errors, and revising fee and finance charges as appropriate.
- Maintaining customer accounts, including updating account information and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Taking card, check, or other orders, and acting on lost or stolen cards/checks.
- Researching customer problems that could not be resolved during the initial contact, and escalating them to the relevant teams for further assistance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to four years of relevant experience in customer service, preferably in the banking, merchant payment services, point of sales, and/or financial services industries.
- 2 or more years of contact center work experience, with a strong focus on customer service and problem-solving.
- Prior experience working in banking, merchant payment services, point of sales, and/or financial services, with a good knowledge of concepts, practices, policies, and procedures of banking products and services.
- Effective telephone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult customer calls and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to identify and resolve/escalate problems, and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to maximize the number of clients that can be assisted while maintaining a high level of customer service.
