Job Description:
As an Experienced Customer Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty drug treatment. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and handling new and reorder medication requests, including verifying and updating patient benefits
- Assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system
- Collecting and processing copay payments, obtaining approvals, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders with billing or clinical issues
- Collaborating with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of specialty medications
- Providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field
- One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via phone
- One year of experience working with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
- One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and proficiency
- A dynamic IL Pharmacy Technician Permit or the ability to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician Permit
Preferred Qualifications:
* Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and providing compassionate, personalized care to patients and customers
