Job Summary

As a Customer Service and Remote Virtual Assistant, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional support to our healthcare professionals, patients, and families. Your primary duties will include:

  • Preparing and assembling medical record documentation/charts for physicians
  • Ensuring medical record compliance through self-documentation attestation
  • Updating patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient's medical record
  • Preparing and sending all documentation to physicians for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific procedures
  • Monitoring the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures
  • Complying with hospital and medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA and Joint Commission
  • Performing other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned

Key Responsibilities

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a customer service or administrative role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and Joint Commission regulations, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict data security protocols

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and medical billing software
  • Certification in medical terminology, coding, or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
