Schedule and Work Environment
As a Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, you'll work 34 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours between 8am and 4:30pm CST. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. Key Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, you'll be responsible for:
- Accurately entering data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests submitted by healthcare providers
- Entering data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests expediently and efficiently to meet client turnaround times
- Navigating efficiently and effectively through the imaging software to retrieve claims and authorizations for data entry
- Differentiating between different claim types and following the appropriate data entry guidelines
- Accurately identifying specific document types that require special handling
- Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure that work is completed in accordance with designated turnaround times
- Supporting additional workflows as needed due to internal or external requirements
Additional Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you'll also be responsible for:
- Performing quality review of other team members' claims/authorizations according to established data entry guidelines
- Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing additional responsibilities as needed
- Alerting management of potential issues upon identification of discrepancies
- Providing recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiencies as appropriate
Qualifications
To be a successful Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of experience in data entry or a typing-focused role
- Strong data entry/typing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- High degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Skills and Competencies
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Strong data entry skills, with a minimum of 8,200 keystrokes per hour (KSPH) and a 98% accuracy rate
- Proficiency in imaging software and ability to navigate efficiently and effectively
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
