arenaflex's Risk Finance group is a dynamic and forward-thinking team that is responsible for providing credit-related decision support to Risk Management, local Finance, and business groups. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality data and analytics to inform business and risk decisions, and we are seeking a talented Director of Data Science to lead our Global Data Strategy group.

Key Responsibilities

As the Director of Data Science, you will be responsible for leading the strategic evaluation of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the development of centralized reporting capabilities: Design and implement data visualization tools and reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders across the organization.
• Driving process enhancements and automation: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and automate tasks, improving efficiency and reducing errors.
• Developing and maintaining preferred and ad-hoc reviews: Create and maintain reports and dashboards used by Risk Finance and business partners to inform decision-making.
• Providing credit-related analytical support: Offer expert analysis and recommendations to Senior Management, using data to inform business and risk decisions.
• Building and maintaining relationships: Foster strong relationships with Risk Finance portfolio groups and partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, and other areas.
• Providing selection-aid with a focus on analytics: Develop and deliver analytics that identify trends and opportunities in the portfolio, enabling business and risk decisions.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Advanced experience with data analysis tools: Proficiency in SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, and TM1 is required.
• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint: A high level of proficiency in these tools is essential.
• Experience with machine learning modeling: A plus, but not required.
• Solid economic and analytical skills: The ability to work with large datasets and draw significant conclusions is essential.
• Superior attention to detail: Exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills are required.
• Results-driven and proactive: The ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight timelines is essential.
• Desire to work on ambiguous tasks: A willingness to take on complex challenges and deliver successful outcomes is required.
• Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills: The ability to build and maintain relationships and collaborate with team members is essential.
• Master's degree in a quantitative field: A degree in a field such as advanced mathematics or statistics is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, plus bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits. Ultimately, your compensation will be determined by your location, experience, and other factors.
