Job Description:
As a Lead Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing and developing data solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with our Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions. Your expertise in big data, cloud computing, and data engineering will be essential in helping us achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop data solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction
- Plan and develop versatile data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in large data conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
- Collaborate with Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data administration
- Ensure high functional productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligation to our clients (Information Science, Information Examination groups)
- Participate in agile/scrum practice to ensure well-being and cycle enhancements for your team
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Solid SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
- Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
- Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query)
- Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e. Wind current) and writing and maintaining data pipelines
- Solid understanding of data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard systems and practices
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
- Strong involvement in data governance and data quality initiatives
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices
