Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Insurance Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Handling property & casualty (p&c) related customer service and/or billing inquiries and problems via the telephone, providing customers with plan coverage information, quotes, policy changes, and policy change impacts to premium.
  • Reviewing and updating policies to enhance retention and better meet the needs of our members, counseling them on appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws that will best meet their needs for sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance.
  • Making recommendations and/or changes to policies and gaining policyholder acceptance to process the changes.
  • Receiving and responding to calls and emails received by the insurance service center, documenting all activity (changes to policy, coverage options, recommendations, and cross-selling) in EPIC.
  • Utilizing knowledge of the insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service, providing quotes on endorsements as requested.
  • Identifying opportunities to apply discounts, processing insurance verification forms for insured, and acting as a liaison for information exchange between customers and insurance companies.
  • Processing changes to policies within EPIC and submitting changes to specific companies, following up with the company to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing policy information and referencing company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims.
  • Mailing insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary, following up to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner from member/customer.
  • Recognizing cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtaining quote information.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What We Need from You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment.
  • A Property and Casualty insurance license, required.
  • A Membership license, preferred, and/or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Work Schedule

As a work-from-home Insurance Customer Service Representative, you'll enjoy a flexible schedule with the following hours:

  • Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST, with rotating Saturdays with the team (Saturday hours: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
