Experienced Part-Time Remote Customer Retention Specialist – Evening Shift

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for retaining existing customers by showcasing the value of their life insurance policies, ensuring their satisfaction, and providing exceptional service.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Retention Specialist, your primary goal is to retain existing customers for one of our top clients by demonstrating the value of their life insurance policies. You'll work directly with policyholders who may be considering canceling their policies, explaining the benefits of maintaining their coverage. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in high-volume phone contact with policyholders requesting cancellations, providing personalized service, and addressing their concerns.
  • Reselling the benefits of life insurance and highlighting its importance to policyholders, ensuring they understand the value of their coverage.
  • Handling cancellation requests in a professional and empathetic manner, providing thorough explanations and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Maintaining high standards for call volume, handling time, and overall time management, ensuring seamless interactions with policyholders.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction in every interaction, whether via phone, email, or written correspondence, and escalating any concerns to your supervisor.

What We're Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a unique blend of skills, experience, and qualities. We're looking for individuals who:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in a high-volume contact center environment, a receptionist role, or any role that involved frequent phone interaction (strict requirement).
  • Are 18 years of age or older and possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Have remote work experience, although it's not required (strongly preferred).
  • Can provide a reliable internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps download, 20 Mbps upload with a hard-wired connection) and access to a smartphone for VPN use.
  • Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic keyboard functions.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and possess strong organization and time management skills.
  • Are able to work in a quiet and professional workspace.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Upselling or retention experience, which will give you a head start in this role.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish, which will enable you to communicate with policyholders in their preferred language.
  • A strong understanding of life insurance policies and their benefits, which will help you provide informed and empathetic service.

  • Competitive pay: $16.35 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for bilingual candidates who pass our bilingual assessment.
  • Eligibility for bonus pay based on performance, which will reward your hard work and dedication.
  • A flexible schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM CST, with Saturday hours from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM CST.
  • Work from Home: Equipment provided, so you can work in the comfort of your own space.
  • Comprehensive training: 4 weeks of paid training, Monday - Friday, 5:00 PM CST - 9:00 PM CST, to ensure you're equipped with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed.

Job Type and Details:

* Part-time position

  • 23 hours per week
  • Evening shift: 4 hours per shift, Monday - Friday, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM CST, with Saturday hours from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM CST.
