Experienced Part-Time Remote Customer Service Specialist – After Hours Support

We're seeking an experienced Part-Time Remote Customer Service Specialist to join our After Hours Team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in providing top-notch customer service to our patients, healthcare providers, and facilities. Responsibilities:
As a Part-Time Remote Customer Service Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Navigating our electronic health record to obtain and validate historical information, capturing and documenting demographic and financial information, and maintaining patient privacy and security as outlined by HIPAA.
- Managing a high volume of incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers, and facilities, ensuring resolution to the call and providing excellent customer service in a variety of situations.
- Leveraging critical thinking with speed and accuracy to identify the reason for the call and take appropriate action based on caller need and acuity.
- Scheduling patient visits based on complex provider preferences, verifying and updating insurance, and collecting and documenting demographics.
- Maintaining proficiency in and sharing knowledge of insurance basics, MyChart, and appointment instructions, and communicating directly with providers to relay pertinent clinical information during after hours.
- Managing calls within established performance and customer service standards, achieving targeted abandoned call rate, average speed of answer, and average transaction time.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of recent healthcare or customer service experience
- No supervisor experience required
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner, as determined by arenaflex
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a healthcare setting or customer service environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records and patient management systems
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
