Job Responsibilities:
As an Experienced Provider Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Receiving and processing provider information from external sources for system updates
- Validating provided information using your knowledge and experience
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date provider records in our computer system
- Conducting regular audits of loaded provider records to ensure quality and financial accuracy
- Providing documented feedback when necessary
- Supporting system/health plan integration efforts
- Training existing staff and new hires on system-related tasks
- Assisting in system-related testing activities
Key Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- 1+ years of managed care experience and/or medical office experience with coding or credentialing experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Adherence to Managed Care Organization's policies and confidentiality requirements
- Reliable attendance based on the agreed-upon schedule
- Understanding and compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a medical office setting working in provider credentialing or related position
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
