Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Chat Moderator to join our remote team. As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for managing our official Discord server, ensuring that our community guidelines are upheld, and providing exceptional customer service to our members. This is a part-time, flexible position that offers a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
* Moderate the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that our community guidelines are upheld and that our members feel safe and respected.
- Delete messages made by users that violate our community guidelines.
- Ban users who have multiple and repeat violations of our community guidelines.
- Mute users who have violated our community guidelines.
- Investigate reports made by users about violations of our community guidelines.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement community engagement strategies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our members, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up-to-date with our community guidelines and policies, ensuring that you're aware of any changes or updates.
Essential Qualifications
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately identify and address community guideline violations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer service and community engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a community management or moderation role, preferably in a Discord or online community setting.
- Knowledge of community guidelines and policies, with a strong understanding of online community management best practices.
- Experience with conflict resolution and mediation, with a strong ability to remain impartial and objective.
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide technical support to our members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate our global community.
