Government Move Coordinator - International

Overview

Under the direction of the Government Move Supervisor, the Government Move Coordinator - International provides higher level service support to military and government transferees. Coordinating and acting as main POC to assist with logistical areas of transferees’ move from point of origin to destination. Position is accountable for file management, customer satisfaction and mentorship to other team members. Position interacts with several service areas within the organization, including Customer Service, Operations, Accounting, International, and Claims, as well as higher level positions including senior leadership to ensure that all relocation activities are performed in accordance with contractual and industry guidelines.

Responsibilities

Communication

  • Communicates with transferee to ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Provides timely updates on the shipment status.
  • Proactively Identifies and communicates potential problems in a move before they happen.
  • Properly educated transferees on the move process to ensure transferee is aware of the flow of a move.

Administration

  • Updates and completes all data in required DOS/GSA transportation database systems.
  • Enters and updates all data into JK systems, and ensures all data is complete and accurate.
  • Can accurately associate move types and methods of travel (International, Interstate, Intrastate, Local) within JK systems and ensure data associated to those types is accurate.
  • Submits and follows up timely on all GSA 3080 submissions.

Financial Understanding

  • Understands and manages costs related to transferees’ relocations, with net margins in mind to minimize expense when able to.
  • Understand basic knowledge of company profit and loss statement how services performed attributes to the bottom line.
  • Invoice and collect payments as needed from transferees.

Government Supplier Relations

  • Basic understanding of DTR (Defense Travel Regulations) and FTR (Federal Travel Regulation), and HTOS tender.
  • Understands and is familiar with applicable government tenders and can properly utilize the tools associated with those tenders.
  • Understands and maintains Security Clearance standards.
  • Assist in classified communications, and responses.
  • Works with and builds relationships with government counselors, to develop strong two-lane communication with government clients.
  • Identify and assigns vendors to support JK government relocations.
  • Works, and communicates with vendors to ensure move completion and contractual requirements are met.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience in household goods, relocation, real estate, or transportation industry preferred.
  • Microsoft Office suite or comparable software packages.
  • Flexibility to adapt to situations that may be unique and may not be normally within the scope of work.
  • Move management experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked, and electronic environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and consultative skills.
  • Secret Clearance is preferred.
