Caption Legal is seeking a reliable and professional Mobile Notary Public to support legal signings across Los Angeles and Ventura County. This is a flexible, on-call opportunity ideal for experienced notaries who are responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with attorneys, clients, and legal professionals.
Responsibilities
- Travel to client locations for notarizations (homes, offices, hospitals, etc.)
- Verify signer identity and ensure documents are executed properly
- Administer oaths and acknowledgments in compliance with California law
- Maintain accurate notary journal records
- Return completed documents promptly (scanbacks or physical delivery as needed)
- Communicate clearly with our scheduling team and clients

Requirements
- Active California Notary Public commission
- Valid government-issued ID and reliable transportation
- Strong understanding of California notary laws and procedures
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to handle sensitive legal documents with discretion
- Availability for short-notice assignments is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with legal or litigation-related notarizations
- Background in loan signings or deposition support
- Ability to handle high-volume or time-sensitive requests
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
