Job Summary

As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist – part time, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, resolving issues in a timely manner, and maintaining a working knowledge of workflow systems. This is a fully remote opportunity that offers flexible scheduling, a robust benefits package, and opportunities for career growth and development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Review and identify issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner (50%)

  • Maintain a working knowledge of workflow systems to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate appropriately (10%)
  • Ensure all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately while providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines (10%)
  • Perform payment transactions and request payment from accounts reflecting a balance (10%)
  • Assist with clerical duties as needed, such as email, facsimile, etc. (10%)
  • Requires close supervision and guidance from the supervisor (10%)

Key Qualifications

* 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in workflow systems and software applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Certification in medical revenue cycle or customer service
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
