Job Summary
As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist – part time, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, resolving issues in a timely manner, and maintaining a working knowledge of workflow systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Review and identify issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner (50%)
- Maintain a working knowledge of workflow systems to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate appropriately (10%)
- Ensure all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately while providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines (10%)
- Perform payment transactions and request payment from accounts reflecting a balance (10%)
- Assist with clerical duties as needed, such as email, facsimile, etc. (10%)
- Requires close supervision and guidance from the supervisor (10%)
Key Qualifications
* 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in workflow systems and software applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
- Certification in medical revenue cycle or customer service
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
