We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our Information and Investigation group for arenaflex Web-based features (DSS), a section under the arenaflex Diversion and ESPN Innovation (DE&ET). As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our data-driven strategies, leveraging your expertise in big data, cloud computing, and data warehousing to drive business growth and improvement.Job Description
As a Lead Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:Key Responsibilities
- Add to the design and development of our data products and data warehouses around Commitment and Maintenance Examination and Information Science
- Plan and develop flexible data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in Large Data conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
- Our tech stack includes Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flink, and Windstream, and languages include Python, Scala
- Help engineer data solutions/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops
- Collaborate with Data Product Managers, Data Modelers, and Data Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions
- Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance
- Ensure high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligation to our clients (Data Science, Data Analysis groups)
- Be a proactive member and supporter of agile/scrum practice to ensure well-being and cycle enhancements for your team
Key Capabilities
- Solid SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
- Involved experience with distributed systems like Flink, Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
- Solid programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
- Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query)
- Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e Windstream) and composing and maintaining Data Pipelines
- Solid in Data Modeling strategies and Data Warehousing standard systems and practices
- Aquainted with Scrum and Agile approaches
Preferred Qualifications
- You are a problem solver with solid analytical and logical skills
- Ideal to have experience with Cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
