Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician – Customer Service Representative to provide professional phone assistance to callers through the criteria-based prior authorization process. This role involves maintaining complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, as well as transferring clinical questions and judgment calls to pharmacists. Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional phone assistance to callers through the criteria-based prior authorization process
- Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials
- Transfer clinical questions and judgment calls to pharmacists
- Respond to in-coming calls from members, providers, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues and concerns
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments
Minimum Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service position with high-volume call center experience; preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position
- Verifiable High School diploma or GED required
- Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred but not required at a State or National level
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in a customer service role with a focus on healthcare or pharmaceuticals
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
