Experienced Data Entry Clerk – Medicare Audit and Compliance Specialist

Job Summary
As a Data Entry Clerk – Medicare Audit and Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting documentation to various Medicare contractors, while continuing to follow the audit through the levels of appeal for resolution. You will also communicate Medicare policy and procedures to our field and staff employees, adjust A/R in accordance with Medicare policy, and serve as a backup when other employees are out. Key Responsibilities
* Gather and prepare all necessary documentation for audit submission, while continuing to pursue additional documentation and correction requests
- Preparation and submission of audits to various Medicare contractors, while continuing to follow the audit through the levels of appeal for resolution
- Communicate Medicare policy and procedures to field and staff employees
- Adjust A/R in accordance with Medicare policy
- May serve as a backup when other employees are out
- Work assigned Audit Delivery System reports
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in data entry, medical billing, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Medicare policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with audit software and systems
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing principles
- Certification in medical billing or coding (e.g. CPC, CCS-P)
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
