Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Entry Operator, you'll be responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining utility accounts with high accuracy and speed
  • Verifying account eligibility and accessibility to ensure seamless customer experiences
  • Preparing, distributing, and completing work orders in a timely and efficient manner
  • Preparing files for mass customer communications, including billing statements and notices
  • Scanning or retaining documents to maintain accurate records
  • Performing monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to ensure data integrity
  • Entering data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases to inform business decisions
  • Assisting with other related duties as assigned by the team lead

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist
  • Excellent computer skills, typing accuracy, and 10-key skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • An Associate's degree in business administration, data entry, or a related field
  • Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist
  • Experience with Public Works software and customer information systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience with data entry software and customer information systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
